HAPPY NEW YEAR

Halli hallo meine Lieben,
Hi, what's up guys,
Mambo, niaje watu wangu,

The last hours to mark the end of 2018 have began. It's already getting a little loud outside. Children are excited to watch their fireworks blow in the air. Teens and young grown-ups are getting ready for their long awaited parties. Their shiny little black dresses are well ironed, the makeup is lit and the hair is slayed. The parents are busy getting the finger foods and 'Berliner' ready. Others are preparing their 'raclettes' and 'fondos' while the the ultimative chart- show with Oliver Geissen is running on RTL. 

What a night. A time to a wait last year's miracles but also to close chapters and start new ones. A time to look back and count the many blessings 2018 has offered and the many tragedies we over came.

One wise man once told me not to look back at challenges and ask why they happened but to look back and be thankful and glad that we came through.  

There are so many people all over the world who had great plans for 2019. They planned to get a promotion, grow their family, ask their crush on a date, travel more etc, but unfortunately they did not make it. So many diseases, natural catastrophies, wars, terrorism, accidents took their lives cruely and their plans were left behind and remained just plans. 

As for me, I had a year full of happy and sad moments, lots of laughter and tears, hope and disappointments but also friends and family who stood by me, supported me and gave me a shoulder and an ear when I needed one. A huge thank you!

As 2019 approaches, I wish you all a year of less planning and more living, less schedules and more spontaneousness, less stressing and more relaxing less watches and more time.
