2018 is gone and 2019 is here. The expected margical transformation didn't occur. The prayer of waking up and all challenges of yesterday are no more remained unanswered.
Open wounds of yesterday are still hurting. Broken hearts are still in cracks. Uncurable diseases didn't become curable over night. The divorce papers are still lying on the dest. Mistakes of yesterday are still done.
Im Grunde genommen, nothing really changed.
The thought of forgetting the old and having new beginnings is tickling. The idea of bygones staying bygones is mesmerizing. A clean slate sounds great.
But there is no transformation, no clean slate.
What about we look at 2019 like a chance. A chance to learn from the mistakes of 2018. An opportunity to rectify the wrongs of 2018. A chance to love, lift, support and encourage each other.
The new year might not be the margical liberation from life challenges of the previous year, but surely it is the best opportunity to give the better a try.
One step after the other and at the end of 2019 we will count all those steps together and we will be amazed how far we got.
