Recipe#2 Best chicken wings ever!!!

Crunchy outside and juicy inside. Thats how we imagine a perfect chicken wing. There are not many recipes out there which give such a result. I found one on www.foodwishes.blogspot.de
I made a few modifications with inspiration from the taiwanese three cup chicken and walaaa i had my perfect chicken wing. Today i would love to share this unique recipe with you.

Drop the scepsis and please, please try it out. You will be surprised. 100% success garantied. And its so simple :-)

You will need:

1kg chicken wings
1tbsp salt
1tsp pepper
2tbsp backing powder NOT backing soda

3 tbsp honey
3 tbsp soya sauce
3 tbsp rice wine

Preparation:

Wash, dry and divide the wings at the joint into two
Put the chicken, salt, pepper, and backing powder in a freezer bag (Gefrierbeutel)
Zipp it up or if the bag has no zipper tie the opening tightly
Shake it vigorously till all the chicken parts are coated with the mixture
Leave in the fridge for an hour or longer
After which you place the chicken wings on a oven grille
Ps. dont place them on each other.
Bake your wings for 40 minutes on the lower middle part at 200°C
Turn them after 20 minutes.

Tip: The wings are going to loose alot of fat which makes them really crunchy. So place a backing sheet under your grille where the fat will drop so that your oven will not be a total mess afterwards.

Sauce:
Mix the honey, rice wine and soya sauce in bowl

After baking 40 minutes, put your crunchy but not yet brown wings in the sauce and mix well till all your chicken is coated with the sauce. Place your wings on the grille again but  now place in the upper middle part and bake further for another 20 minutes at 200°C. Turn your wings after 10 minutes.

Your wings will be so crunchy that one would think they are deep fried.

These are best served as finger food, but just enjoy them which ever way you want. Myself i can have them any time, but i love them best with some Ugali and sukuma.

Guten Appetit!

Lots of luv,
ItsRose_Beth
