Every Kenyan~with no exceptions (as far as i know) loves this dish. To be honest i don't know why. It's nothing special. It's nothing Extra-ordinary. But a Kenyan isn't a Kenyan without some Ugali at least once a week.
For this typical East- African dish you will need:
Corn flour
Water
A pinch of salt
A tbsp vegetable oil
A wooden stirring spoon
Like a typical Kenyan cook, there are no exact measurements for any of the ingredients. You will have to trust your guts and the star-chef in you :-)
Bring about 2 cups of water to boil
Add a pinch of salt and the spoon of oil
Add the flour little by little while stirring until you get a firm cake -like mass. Let it cook under low heat while turning the ugali now and then till its ready.
Serve warm with a stew your choice.
For a real Kenyan feeling serve with some sukuma wiki (Grünkohl) or grilled goat meat (mbuzi choma) and some kachumbari.
Enjoy!
Lots of luv
